Watlington Community Primary School

About Us

Watlington is a village in West Norfolk, situated about half-way between King’s Lynn and Downham Market. The village has a population of approximately 2700.  Road and rail links are both good; the A10 linking King’s Lynn with Cambridge runs a mile to the east, and from Watlington station there is an hourly service to Cambridge and London.

Our school was built in 1981 and has since been extended, giving spacious accommodation for our current roll of about 170 children in six classes from Reception to Year 6. Although not part of the school, the Pre-School is situated adjacent to our grounds, which are extensive.  We are a local authority community primary school.

We are an ambitious school, ready for change and to move forwards and make improvements.  The current Headteacher joined the school in April 2022 and along with a new Governing Body brings the motivation to make these changes.  Our highly committed staff have high morale and share this ambition.   We strive for all our pupils to achieve their best and become independent and resilient lifelong learners.
