Watlington Community Primary School

Our School

Our School and Village

Watlington is a village in West Norfolk, situated about half way between King’s Lynn and Downham Market. Road and rail links are both good; the A10 linking King’s Lynn with Cambridge runs a mile to the east, and from Watlington station there is an hourly service to Cambridge and London.

Our school was built in 1981 and has since been extended, giving excellent accommodation for our current roll of about 180 children in seven year classes from Reception to Year 6. Although not part of the school, the Pre-School is situated within our grounds which are extensive.

We are a successful school, with good results both academically and in our many extra-curricular activities. However, our aim is to improve further and become outstanding. Our highly committed staff have high morale and share this ambition.

We value greatly the help, support and involvement of all parents, friends of the school and our local community. Through our teaching and learning, our children are encouraged to help and support one another, and prepare themselves for the challenges they will meet as they grow up and enter the adult world.
